The Northway Kids Ministry Associate supports the day-to-day operations of Northway Kids. This role coordinates administrative processes, communication, and childcare events while also assisting with weekly programming and special events.
Essential Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee administrative processes related to onboarding and assimilating elementary volunteers.
Maintain accuracy and integrity of family data and registrations within ministry systems.
Coordinate curriculum distribution and supply requisition for Northway Kids.
Assist in the planning and execution of NextGen events.
Support the preparation and implementation of Sunday morning and Compass Kids programming.
Manage and maintain the Northway Kids calendar.
Monitor and respond to the Northway Kids email account in a timely manner.
Coordinate and oversee logistics for childcare events.
Prepare and distribute monthly communications to families and volunteers.
Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.
Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.
Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).
High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of administrative experience preferred.
Proficiency in Gmail and Google Drive applications.
Experience working in database systems (e.g., Rock RMS) preferred.
Ability to manage and improve systems and processes.
Flexibility to adapt to changing ministry needs and logistics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
