Position Summary

The Gospel Communities Minister (GC Minister) reports to the Lead Gospel Communities Minister (Lead GC Minister) for weekly direction and development. The GC Minister’s primary job is two-fold: 1) to raise and develop new Gospel Community leaders (GC leaders) and 2) to shepherd and care for them throughout their small group leadership journey at Northway.  


Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend and be a faithful participant and contributor to all weekly staff, 1:1, and ministry team meetings 
  • Assist in day-to-day ministry operations by completing various tasks and projects, such as but not limited to, tracking and updating data on the Rock and Google Sheets, communicating and following up with leaders and church members, planning and preparing for events, etc. 
  • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new GC leaders in general and female GC leaders in particular
  • Proactively pursue and meet with female GC leaders and coaches by encouraging, supporting, and caring for them
  • Oversee and address various GC leader and GC member care situations as necessary 
  • Creatively think through new pathways, processes, and solutions to support the mission and vision of the Gospel Communities ministry 
  • Assist with the planning and execution of Gospel Community training events throughout the year (New Leader Training, Leader Roundtable, etc.)
  • Participate in Gospel Community training events by facilitating table discussion, emceeing, and/or teaching as determined by the Lead GC Minister
  • Attend and participate in church events and gatherings (Membership Class, Worship and Prayer, Refresh, etc.) 
  • Help curate and/or create resources for GC leaders and update our leader Resource Folder 
  • Be present and engaged on Sunday mornings by attending all worship services, worshiping at one and serving at the others (greeting, praying, service leading, etc.)
  • Use pastoral gifts to love, serve, care, encourage, and minister to the greater spiritual family of Northway Church
  • Complete other tasks and projects as determined by the Lead GC Minister 


Qualifications

  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • Bible College/Seminary degree preferred, but not required 
  • 2-5 years of volunteer and/or vocational ministry leadership experience preferred 
  • Personal belief in, and relationship with, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior 
  • Great understanding and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ in daily life and ministry
  • Godly character that reflects Jesus and displays the fruit of the Spirit
  • Loves people, possesses great relational skills and is passionate about ministering to others 
  • Humble, teachable, a learner
  • Team-player, detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Faithful member of a Gospel Community (or pursuit of one upon hire) 
  • Faithful membership at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire)
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.)

Position Summary 

The objective of the Operations Associate is to assist the HR & Operations Manager in the administration of HR, Finance, and Facilities for the organization. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR & Operations Manager to develop and implement new policies and procedures 
  • Assist in preparing and presenting on administrative processes and softwares to our staff
  • Oversee all rooms, resource, and event requests in espace and ensure it matches our master calendar of events 
  • Serve as a point of contact with all HR, Finance, and Operations vendors and administrators
  • Support the HR & Operations Manager and the Executive Pastor of Operations with budget development and coding oversight
  • Create and organize financial reports for the Executive Pastor of Operations, the HR & Operations Manager, and the elders as requested
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of staff expense reports
  • Oversee the collection and processing of tithe in an ethical and timely manner
  • Develop and manage a volunteer team to assist with the processing of tithe 
  • Oversee staff expense reports to ensure timely submission and correct financial coding
  • Assist in the onboarding of all new staff by ordering necessary technology and swag and creating new employee accounts
  • Manage all insurance claims and ensure proper payments are received 
  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and confidentially
  • Strong project management, organizational, & detailed planning skills with the ability to work on multiple objectives with tight deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with Excel preferred
  • Finance background with an understanding of Accounting preferred
