Position Summary:

The objective of the Connections Associate at Northway Church is to serve the Church body through both individual and corporate interactions. This is accomplished through informing, gathering, and connecting with those desiring to live among the body of Northway Church, and facilitating weekend services through volunteer-driven service teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in weekly Sunday setup and execution
  • Assist in the planning, facilitation, and execution of Connection events
  • Assist in strategic planning for calendar events and mapping out semesters
  • Assist in creating clear pathways for people to take to get plugged into Northway
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding members with care and intentionality
  • Onboard, equip, care for new volunteers 
  • Assist in responding to Connect Cards in a timely manner
  • Assist in creating connection resources to help cast vision and train new volunteers, as well as an offboarding structure for volunteers stepping out of Connections including a survey or touch base phone call to know if there are any opportunities to care for them as they step into next chapter. 
  • Assist in creating resources for Connection Central for ministries available to help resource guests looking to get more connected at Northway
  • Teach regularly at New to Northway
  • Lead connection volunteer meetings when needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ministry experience
  • Database management experience
  • Coordination and administration experience
  • Google Suite experience

Hours: 40 per week

Position Summary 

The objective of the Northway Funeral Coordinator is to assist the families of Northway members with the planning and logistics of a memorial or funeral service, ensuring grieving families experience both Christ’s and the church's love. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with families to plan service desires and details
  • Serve as a point of contact for the family during the planning process 
  • Coordinate service details with Northway facilities, production, and worship teams according to Northway‘s Third Party Facility Use Policy
  • Oversee all rooms, resources, and event requests in espace
  • Develop and manage a volunteer team to assist with service as needed
  • Day of coordination and oversight

What You’ll Need:

Status: Irregular part-time - approximately 25-30 hours per funeral

Position Summary

The objective of the Director of Finance & Operations is to execute and manage the Finances, Operations, HR, and Facilities of Northway Church.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and set the direction for all aspects related to HR, Finance, Facilities, and Operations-- including oversight of staff and personnel therein
  • Create, implement, and evaluate all operations policies, procedures, and structures
  • Ensure that all aspects of these Operations are planned, executed, and accounted for from year to year
  • Set clear expectations for direct reports and coach toward achievement of measurable goals
  • Ensure compliance in keeping Northway Church above reproach in all financial, legal, and moral/ethical matters
  • Responsible for annual budget development across all departments and coding oversight
  • Prepare and oversee the Technology, Operations, and Finance budgets
  • Gather documentation and handle communication during our annual financial audit
  • Create and organize financial reports for the Executive Pastor of Operations and the elders as requested
  • Collaborate with the operations team by reviewing church-wide events to coordinate proper Operations staffing and resources 
  • Handle the processing of payroll and resolve any payroll errors
  • Manage all insurance claims and ensure proper payments are received 
  • Develop and manage a volunteer team to assist with the processing of tithe 
  • Oversee staff expense reports to ensure timely submission and correct financial coding
  • Serve as a point of contact with all Finance and Operations vendors and administrators
  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Finance background with an understanding of Accounting required
  • Experience in operational management, HR, and facilities preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills 
  • Experience with Excel preferred
  • Ability to work independently and confidentially
