The Ministry Assistant will support the Lead Pastor and Northway Training department by managing commitments, communication, tasks, and event coordination as needed.

Responsibilities and Qualifications


  • Organize and schedule Lead Pastor, Elder, and Preaching Schedule calendars
  • Plan and oversee logistics for speaking requests, conferences, and strategic meetings
  • Manage and order supplies for Northway Training, offsite meetings, and various staff events
  • Assist in meetings for Lead Pastor by taking minutes and following up on necessary action items Coordinate and schedule events such as staff retreats, internal meetings, members meetings, etc Assist with organizing, preparing, and submitting monthly ministry expenses
  • Conserve Lead Pastor’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence as needed
  • Assist the Lead Pastor with other miscellaneous administrative tasks

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • High School degree required Ministry experience preferred
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, work ethic, and dependability
  • Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications

Job Type: Part-Time Hours per week: 28

Are you highly organized and detail-oriented with a knack for communications, writing, and or project management? Maybe you even have some design or photo/video chops? We are looking for a Communications Associate to come alongside our Communications Manager in serving the ministries and people of Northway Church. You’ll definitely need to be able to crush a checklist and crank out some key weekly tasks for this role, but your role will not be solely administrative. We are looking for someone who can help speak into the vision and strategy of Northway communications while also excelling in the administrative side of the job. 

Communications Associate - Full Time

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage Northway social media accounts.
  • Oversee weekly announcement scripts and slides.
  • Compose and send the weekly church-wide email.
  • Manage projects (with the Northway ministries we serve) from kickoff meetings to final deliverables.
  • Work with vendors and third-party contractors when necessary.
  • Help manage our volunteer base and plan quarterly gatherings with them.
  • Work in The Rock, our church management software.
  • Assist the communications manager with strategy and vision for sermon series.
  • Help craft communication plans for Northway events. 
  • Maintain church website content. 
  • Manage the resource library on the church website. 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related discipline. 
  • 0-2 years of experience in communications, project management, and/or the creative field (internship or undergraduate work experience is applicable).
  • Experience in project management software such as Click Up, Asana, etc.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Suite.
  • Experience with Google Suite. 

Nice to Haves: 

  • Experience in graphic design, photography, motion graphics, or videography. 
  • Experience in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Figma. 
  • Experience in copywriting/editing.
