The Local Missions & Mobilization Minister leads Northway Church toward a culture of service and missional engagement. This role provides ministerial and strategic oversight to Northway’s relationships with local missions partners and equips church members to engage with these partners through development and advocacy. This minister serves under the Sending Minister to develop a healthy culture of sending at Northway.


Essential Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local ministry partners while actively evaluating and pursuing new partnership opportunities.

  • Design and implement ministry pathways and training opportunities, such as classes, seminars, and conferences, to reach and serve the lost.

  • Plan and execute Northway’s local mission events such as Backpack Day and Northway Nachos.

  • Provide compelling, faithful leadership to lay leaders and volunteers engaged in local missions.

  • Connect Northway members with local service opportunities through formal partnerships and friendship ministries.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with like-minded churches to advance Northway’s local missions goals.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes. 

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with and lives in a manner consistent with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and Ministerial Expectations.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Demonstrated leadership and local missions experience within the DFW area.

  • Skilled in teaching, training, and providing strategic leadership.

  • Proven ability to develop others, manage administrative responsibilities, and build relationships across diverse cultures and demographics.

  • Actively models a missional lifestyle within the context of the DFW community.

  • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or suitable professional experience required.

Are you a graphic designer, interested in pursuing a career in ministry? Or maybe you’re seeking to sharpen your creative skills with intentions to live on mission in the secular workforce? During this one-year Communications Internship, you’ll be exposed to the inner workings of church communications, from communications strategy to design to social media. You’ll be developed professionally in your skills to prepare you for your next step and spiritually as you discern God’s leading in your life.


Job Responsibilities

  • Execute communication and design projects that serve Northway Church.

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager on the creative direction for ministry initiatives.

  • Assist with Northway social media accounts.

  • Receive regular coaching from the Creative Director.

  • Participate in the Northway Intern Development Program as able.

  • Additional responsibilities are possible in line with the applicant's abilities.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Received or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or a related discipline.

  • A desire to serve the local church body with your creativity and work.

  • Should be proactive, detail-oriented, relational, and collaborative.

  • Experience with Adobe Suite and Google Apps.

  • Experience in photography, motion graphics, or videography is beneficial.

The Worship Intern assists in shepherding and caring for the church by leading music and liturgy in various ministry spaces.

Job Responsibilities

  • Learn, implement, and improve the philosophies and practices of the Worship Ministry.

  • Recruit, equip, schedule, and encourage volunteers in the Worship Ministry.

  • Lead worship in various ministries with musical skill and theological care.

  • Aid in planning and executing services and events.

  • Assist in maintenance and setup of instruments and equipment.

  • Participate in writing songs for worship at Northway Church. 

  • Participate in the Northway Intern Development Program as able.

  • Other tasks and observation opportunities to be determined by the Worship Minister.

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Attend, participate, and contribute to weekly all-staff, 1:1, and team meetings.

  • Desire to connect with and care for God’s people.

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Experience leading worship.

  • Ability to lead a team.

  • Musically and vocally trained (Proficiency in guitar or piano required).

  • Should be proactive, detail-oriented, relational, and collaborative.

  • Proficiency in Google Apps.

  • Proficiency in Planning Center is beneficial.

The Sending Internship is a one-year opportunity designed to help individuals discern and develop a calling toward missions, mobilization, or cross-cultural ministry. This role provides hands-on experience in local and global sending initiatives while offering training, mentoring, and spiritual formation within the Sending Department. Interns will grow in missional theology, leadership, and cross-cultural awareness while contributing meaningfully to the mission and vision of the Sending Department.


Job Responsibilities

  • Support planning, logistics, and application processes for missions events and trips.

  • Assist with local outreach initiatives and partner engagements.

  • Help lead and participate in short-term mission trips.

  • Participate in evangelism efforts and missions-related outreaches.

  • Engage in missions training, cohorts, and classes as available.

  • Contribute to teaching and sharing from missions and outreach experiences.

  • Participate in the Northway Intern Development Program as able.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Valid U.S. Passport.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively.

  • Desire to serve the local church and engage in missions and outreach.

  • Experience in cross-cultural ministry or missions preferred, but not required.

The Connections Intern helps foster a welcoming and organized environment for guests and volunteers by assisting with communication, coordination, and relational ministry. This role helps strengthen pathways for engagement so individuals feel informed, supported, and connected to the church community.


Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to guests and church members with warmth and clarity via email, phone, and connection channels.

  • Assist with planning, coordination, and on-site support for ministry events.

  • Support the volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and engagement.

  • Participate in teaching, leadership, and spiritual development activities, including facilitating classes, leading volunteer groups, and preparing ministry content.

  • Manage weekly supplies to ensure a smooth, welcoming Sunday experience.

  • Participate in the Northway Intern Development Program as able.

  • Additional responsibilities are possible in line with the applicant's abilities.

Qualifications and Requirements
