Gospel Communities Internship Opportunity

The goal of the Gospel Communities Internship is two-fold: 1) to discover, discern, and develop one’s ministerial calling and competence and 2) to learn from and contribute to the Gospel Communities Ministry through administration, collaboration, and execution of tasks, projects, and events.  

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day ministry operations by completing various tasks and projects, such as but not limited to, tracking and updating data on GroupViewer and Google Sheets, communicating and following up with leaders and members, scheduling Lead GC Minister meetings, planning and preparing for events like GroupConnect, managing leader Facebook Group, etc.  
  • Complete readings and reflections as part of development work on a personal, professional, ministerial, and biblical/theological level as instructed by the Lead GC Minister
  • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new GC leaders 
  • Creatively think through new pathways, processes, and solutions to support the mission and vision of Gospel Communities 
  • Complete readings and reflections as part of development work on a personal, professional, ministerial, and biblical/theological level as instructed by the Lead GC Minister
  • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new GC leaders 
  • Creatively think through new pathways, processes, and solutions to support the mission and vision of Gospel Communities 
  • Assist with the planning and execution of Gospel Community events (GroupConnect, New Leader Training, Leader Summit, Leader Roundtable, Coaching Cohort, etc.) 
  • Participate in Gospel Community events by facilitating table discussion, emceeing, and/or teaching as determined by the Lead GC Minister
  • Help curate resources for leaders and update our Resources folder 
  • Be present and engaged on Sunday mornings by attending one worship service and serving at another (greeting, praying, etc.) 
  • Host and/or (co)lead a gospel community 
  • Attend and participate in monthly intern forums 
  • Attend and participate in weekly all-staff, 1:1, and ministry team meetings
  • Attend classes and volunteer at Northway Training
  • Other tasks and projects as determined by the Lead Gospel Communities Minister

Qualifications and Requirements 
  • Agree with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Personal belief in, and relationship with, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior 
  • Good understanding and practice of the gospel of Jesus Christ in daily life and ministry
  • Godly character that reflects Jesus and displays the fruit of the Spirit
  • Humble, teachable, a learner
  • Team-player, detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Faithful covenant membership at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire)
  • High School Diploma
  • College and/or seminary degree preferred, but not required 
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
