Position Summary
The Operations Assistant provides administrative and logistical support to the Operations department at Northway Church. The assistant works alongside the Director of Finance and Operations to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the church.


Essential Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the Director of Operations and Finance with various administrative tasks, including but not limited to, email organization, and calendar management.
  • Handle logistics for Operations & HR events such as resource scheduling and hospitality. 
  • Maintain systems and processes for the Operations Department.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Pastor to oversee the church-wide calendar to ensure proper Operations staffing and resources.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and evaluate periodically to ensure accuracy.
  • Submit all Operations invoices and follow up with suppliers and vendors as needed.
  • Review, open and distribute mail.
  • Participate in and administrate the tithe collection process.
  • Support administration of Northway Finance Team and be present at quarterly meetings.
  • Complete operational, HR, and financial professional development as assigned and schedule allows.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.
  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.
  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ministry experience preferred.
  • Exceptional administrative, organizational, time management, and execution skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, work ethic, and dependability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and willing to take on new projects as they arise.

Position Summary

The NextGen Minister provides vision, leadership, and direction to the Preschool, Elementary, and Student Ministries with a focus on equipping parents to disciple their children in the way of Jesus. They collaborate with the NextGen team and volunteers to build a gospel-centered foundation in all NextGen programming with an emphasis toward hands-on involvement in Northway Students.

Essential Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversee the execution of NextGen programming, with a particular focus on the Student Ministry.

  • Shepherd the NextGen team as they manage their ministries, ensuring effective processes and programming.

  • Serve as the primary advocate for families and children at Northway Church as the ambassador of the ministries you oversee. 

  • Provide a compelling ministry presence in NextGen on Sunday and Wednesday Nights. 

  • Conduct regular meetings with parents to foster family discipleship, offering resources and support to equip them for effective discipleship at home.

  • Oversee key events including Family Discipleship Retreat, NextGen Kickoff, Student Camp, Mission Trips etc. 

  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer, planning, and development purposes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Bachelor Degree from accredited college or university.

  • Seminary Degree (can be in progress) in pastoral ministry or Christian education, preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with experience in mentoring and developing staff members and volunteers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse groups including children, parents, volunteers, and team members.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the ministry, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
